The Yearn Stane Project teamed up with North Ayrshire Council’s Youth forum, Kilbirnie Mens Shed and the Friends of Place Woodland to form the Garnock Rewilding Partnership. Our goal was to create a lasting legacy of improvements for wildlife by involving and mobilising the residents of Kilbirnie. Households were given wild flower growing kits and were invited to grow some for their own green spaces and some flowers to be planted in an area of community woodland called The Place Wood.
